Cirque du Soleil returns to Miami after more than a two year absence with the live touring show Corteo. Proudly presented by iShares, Corteo comes to South Florida under the trademark blue and yellow Grand Chapiteau (Big Top) at Bicentennial Park. Created and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, Corteo premieres in Miami for a limited engagement beginning on November 13. Corteo, which means “cortege” in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth. The Corteo cast includes 63 artists from 20 different countries. Tickets: www.cirquedusoleil.com or 1-800-678-5440 |
